Bottom of tank looking weird

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Something under the tank? Looks like a textured insulation mat that is pressing into the bottom pane of glass. Did you recently setup this tank? May have finally settled and compressed the foam and are just noticing now

There's no foam under the tank I don't think though, as is on the cabinet that it was designed for . I recently moved and only set it up here last week though. So it isn't the glass cracking or anything?

Definitely dont think its the glass itsself. Ive never seen anything like it except for foam under tanks making it look funny. If there isnt foam I have no clue what it could be. Trapped humidity? (Could potentially be a bad sign)

It looks like condensation. Is the tank colder than the room temperature? Do you have a sump underneath?

Tanks at 24, so a few degrees warmer than the room, no sump. Is 160l glass tank if that helps, I increased the temp a few days ago from about 21 (subtropical channa tank)...

I would lower my water if you're going away for a week, just to be safe.

Looks like condensation like mentioned above, but If it 'abruptly stops' and you did recently move the tank... That would raise concern.

Sorry I can't help you any further, Ive never seen anything like it really

This is definitely worrying... hope I don't need a new tank...

I'll take about 50% out if I can, plus I've got people coming in to look after the hamster.
