hi, so i'm going to have a tank built soon, 96"x30"x30", and i am probably going to have 4-6" of sand. i was thinking 10mm or 12mm glass. there's a strong possibility i might not even fill it all the way up, i might just do a foot of water or so. my concern is the bottom panel though. will having that much sand put too much strain on it? should i have it reinforced?

im still up in the air as far as tempered vs annealed. i might be leaning towards non-tempered.

thanks for any input.

no, you shouldn't have any issues with deeper sand beds, but for that height of tank, I'd suggest 15mm. I'd only advise going thinner if you knew for sure that you wouldn't fill it up all the way.
