I bought a 90 gallon tank that does not have a center brace in the bottom frame. Is this less than desirable ? The top frame does have a center brace.

It probably is an older tank. My guess is it should be fine but that is just my guess to myself.
Are there any indications of the possible brand (upside down, sticker between glass and plastic frame, etc.). If you post a photo here, people will be able to offer opinions; there are enough folks here who know their tanks and those of others old and new.

Does it look like the center brace was removed, cut or borken? Or smooth trim all around, just built without one?

It is a Seapora tank, built in 2022. My Marineland 75 gallon tank built in 2016 has a center brace in the bottom frame.

Pictures? Some 90 gallon tanks would not come equipped with a bottom center brace. Depending on the thickness of the bottom panel it is not necessary. The glass itself braces the bottom span, while the plastic middle brace is usually only necessary on the top.

A bit weird... My new 55 gallon Aqueon tank has a bottom center brace. My Marineland 75 also has a center bottom brace.

I had an old Perfecto 90g tank with no bottom or top center braces. Thick glass and thick plastic frames. Very heavy and very strong. Today’s tanks come with braces but also with very thin glass and plastic. They work, however, so I am not implying they are substandard. But the standards and the cost-saving philosophies have changed.
