As thread title states I got a monster polleni yesterday and his beautiful (pics will come tonight)

Basically I plonked him in with my two almost as big oscars; at which they started harrasing the polleni. 5 mins of harassment goes past and the polleni snapped and proceeded to give what looked like both oscars a quick bite then rip just above their noses. I gave my friend the oscars as I wont have got my 6x2x2 up and running before the polleni ripped the two oscars new *******s.

His been in for 24 hours hasnt eaten* a thing despite me teasing him with my whole variety of pellets/frozen goodies. He swims around when im not in the room but seems to sulk when I come to watch him in his glory.

How long will it take a mature polleni to relax in his environment? I've herd that bigger polleni are picky with food.. do I keep trying to tempt him till he eventually eats? Should I stop worrying?

*(saw him taste test one single hikari carnivore pellets last night)

Thanks in advance and will post pics asap tonight.

just give it a couple of weeks. after we moved, my polleni took a while to get used to some of the food items and didn't seem too comfortable in the tank, but eventually it just got more acclimated to its surroundings and acted 'normal'

Nice find!
My experience with these guys is that once settled the have alot of personality and they are extremely beautiful. Mine always was a great eater. Im sure they would punk out Oscars (Oscars are wimps) but when but with the more aggresive cichlids, they get thier butts handed to them.
