While we're waiting to see if my first ever flowerhorn, Roscoe, pretties up, I bought one that already looks awesome (at least to my eyes!). This one looks like what I'd hoped Roscoe could become (but, now I'm not sure he can...).
I'm so excited!!! The person he's coming from is actually one of the first people to get me interested in flowerhorns about a year ago. I had lost touch with him only to happily find him again right after I bought Roscoe (wouldn't you know). It just feels like full circle to be getting a flowerhorn from this guy and I'm really happy.
I think he is a Red Dragon ZZ? But am very open to observations and opinions.
Here are some pictures of him. He's currently about 5" We're going to call him Reggie, but I think maybe Waterhog called him Fonz? Pictures posted with seller's permission (and I've already paid for this guy).

I'm really excited to get him home! I'm attached to "Roscoe" our other (baby) flowerhorn, but just not so sure Roscoe can turn into a pretty thing like Reggie already is... I swear, a year ago, I wouldn't comprehend being so excited about a fish or being emotionally attached to one, either. Some of these cichlids just have so much personality and interact so much with you that it's impossible not to feel partial to them
