So i bought a new 55g setup from someone moving away. The tank included alot including a nightmare in my book. It came with 2 adult male zebras, 1 female zebra, a 10" pleco, and a dang jack dempsey. Of course the dempsey is boss of the tank. I would like to get rid of them and have an all male mbuna tank but the significant other wont let me. Is there anything I can do including adding fish to calm down the aggression? What do you all suggest? Im currwntly building a 60g for my oscar I may be able to throw the dempsey in temporarily..

The mbunas won't be able to hang with that Jack Dempsey. The size difference will be a problem. The Jack Dempsey will grow to 12in. The closest mbuna would get to about 6in. As aggressive as mbuna are they got nothing on that Jeddah Dempsey. So either the Jack Dempsey goes or everything else does. Either way though I'm sure the pleco can stay no matter what.
Jack dempseys max out around 8-9" ime but yea I wouldn't keep them together either
