At Petsmart. They have a few nice dithers on sale for a dollar. Even Silver dollars for a buck!:jaw-dropp Didn't get any today, but may go back tommorow and grab a small shoal. I did get some tiger barbs though.

I'd like to add 12 more... will hit up the one across town tommorow. How many of You tell Your PetSmart employees about MFK? I felt slightly offended when He asked me about tank size. We should start a Campaign.

Why would you be offended when the ask about tank size?

I actually work at Petsmart and I make sure to ask everyone who is buying fish that question. At least 1/3rd of the time the person answers something that is far too small for the fish they are looking about buying. Yesterday I talked a lady out of putting an Oscar in a 15 gallon. I tell people that goldfish get over a foot long and they are surprised. That is a daily occurrence working there.

There are a bunch of good weekend sales going until the 8th. BN Plecos are $3.49, Opaline Guoramis $1.49. Some good deals if that's what you are looking for. Personally I picked up a small school of Glowlight Tetras at $1 each.

As for the actual subject, one person once told me about MFK. I was vaguely aware of the site before, but I only knew it as "that website being sued by Monster Energy Drink".

I'm usually offended cause I've been in the fish hobby for more than 3/4 of my life, have more books than they have, and somebody they probably hired yesterday with no experience in fish keeping is asking me questions! I feel I shouldn't have to answer to anyone less qualified and I have never returned any fish nor would I have to. I can test my own water and I can make decisions that pertain to my tank and not have someone do it for me to uphold a guarantee!

I can see your point, but from personal experience I doubt you realize how rare it is to sell fish to someone who really knows what they are doing. I will continue to ask people about tank sizes and such, until the day comes where more people know what they are doing than people who have no clue. Best guess is that day will never come. Maximum 50% of people I talk to have ever heard of cycling a tank before, even people who have kept fish for awhile.

It's just more of a personal peeve. I know most members here don't represent the general public in regards to keeping fish. And I'm sure the young kid has no way of telling the difference. I'm just sharing with MFK how I felt. Of course I didn't let it show to him though, he's just doing his job. I also went back today and got 12 more. And he didn't bother to interrogate me. What's funny is he asked another Guy how big his tank is, and the Guy just held his arms out like " this big " I had a good laugh about that 1.

Otunga I know what you mean and I'm not offended as much as you think unless the person is trying to be a know it all. I worked for a pet shop for 13 years so I've had to be on the same side of the sale as you. It just seems redundant cause I worked in small shop and once you are a regular you aren't asked that every single time you go in. I hate these big shops cause there is always somebody different and you have to go through the same sh*t each time you go in.
