I bought fish from a major supplier who I have since found out are notorious for bad fish. My current losses are at 3 breeding colonies. and a number of individuals mostly reasonable expensive fish. started off with one fish that wasnt noticed imediately. apparently the spores from this disease can survive 3 months at - 20 C. what kind of quarantine could stop this? probably none. as it seems to be able to live dormant in fish for quite some time. Have cleaned and steralised tank and treated fish with what is available (nothing essentially) salt bath, melafix, pimafix. nearest fish vet is over 150 km away. will probably euthanaise remaining fish in morning and destroy tank and filtration. This seriously sucks! the disease was brought on by excesive temprature fluctuations after the realestate agent refused to get the aircond replaced. 4 weeks of fluctuation up to 10 degree changes over 24 hours. breeding colonies gone and no way to claim against anyone. Wait for more money to come in and start again.

WOW man that sucks! what all have you lost?

Lost 4 dolphin out of 6 fish colony, lost 3 yellows out of colony of 4, lost 6 OB peacock of a colony of 8. dropped my bundle bleached everything now have left 2 dolphin (m&f), 1 yellow (f) 2 OB peacock (m&f) Was touch n go for 48 hours but all seems stable now. Due to legal constraints I dont wish to slander this company, but lets say they are one of the biggest in australia operating out of Queensland and Melbourne. that should be enough to let most serious fish keepers who they are.
