hi i want to get some infomation on this fish since the internet has little info on them.

how big do they get?

what do they eat

will they do good in a commuinty tank like arowanas and arapima

what other species other than Boulengerella cuvieri how big do they get

where can i find them.

how much do they cost

they are very very rare.
i think theyre the biggest of all pike characins.
some members here have them in comm tanks.
i think they would cost ALOT.

Don't think I've seen more then a dozen for sale over here.... Most were found in LFSs mixed in with other Pike Characins (Mosaic gar).

That's the best way to get them..... Mis IDed = $30 Positive ID = $250=$400.

I just wish Rays didn't enjoy the tatse of Characins so much... I'd have some of the Cuvieri swimming in my tank... But after loosing almost a dozen prized Characins to rays I'm scared of putting any more in with them.

yes rays have that smuther you with suction cup and chew you to death thing going on. I dare not get one.
