How big does it get?
how much do they cost for a 4 to 6 inch one?

I didn't know how nog they get if you can find one for about 20-30$ its a steal. Just make sire the fish is healthy. Just FYI before I by a fish I alway ask to feed them just to see if they are starving and what they are eating. Good luck

I wound up buying some in 2011. I got them up about 11 inch till my power went out and killed them

I just bought one about 6 inches any idea growth rate you had and also how old were yours before they died?

Sorry no info on the fish but I can say that my LFS has one around 10" in the show tank. cool looking but boring and wont budge from the top of the tank unless feeding time. swims in the after current of the powerheads all day.

Their care is the same as a silver pike characin (Ctenolucius hujeta). The only difference is that they can get a little bit bigger.
