ive had my ornate now for 4 months and during that time he has nearly trippled in size from a measley 2 inches to a robust 6 or so inches. but ever scince i got him on an occasion he would swim against the glass like his but wanted to float, not drasticly but a little, and hed go to the bottom get in his cave and rest and the next day he wold be normal agian. is there any reason for this, internal gas, does my bichir need to burp?? or is it a complication thats needs adressed, its never seemed very problematic.... ne one know what this is?
