Just wanted to show some fish in the 55g, sorry for my refelection, i didnt know it would be that bad. Usually the dats are more stable to, and the erythrinus was just moved to this tank. I have one without me commenting, ill post that later after i upload it. Let me know what you think. Oh, and the bowfin is going to ewrum the loach man, because i reckon that in a few months, he might not fit in the 55g and I probably wont be upgrading until i find an excellent deal.

That bowfin is cool! I'll call you this afternoon!

Real nice diversity in that tank. Prob works so well because how it's planted, I like!

Thanks guys, and thanks to whoever embedded the vid. I really like planted tanks, but most of my plants died about a year ago when I was feeding live feeders and had to dose the tank heavily with salt. But, never had ich again, and no live feeders since! Does anybody know a way to get a chaca off live, and what to get him on? I havent feed him for over a month, but wiggled shrimp in front of his mouth . . .he doesnt take it. Within the month, he has eaten three good sized corydoras though, so maybe hes not starving enough?

thanks! yeah, id guestimate around 5". I got him around 3" around 6 months ago, and powerfed him a bit. Mine stay stable for the most part unless i do two 75% water changes like i did this weekend (to get rid of green water). i do think handfeeding them while young, makes them more stable and comfortable with people. My future tank will hopefully be an amazon biotope with the exception of dats, but dats, rays, neon/cardinal tetras, plecos and a few SA cats would be awesome. i love planted tanke also, but dont have too much experience with them unfort, and they cost ALOT initially.

My 4'' is always a deep brown, with his bars JUST poking through.
The 3'' will stay stable for a few days, then just turn dark.
I've just about got them to hand-feed, they'll take krill literally a second after I drop it into the tank.

I think my problem is that I need more dats, seeing as I have only a pair.
I'm going to add a delhezi, and some giant danios though because only local dats are three hour drive away.

Now I'm writing a story in your thread.. better stop now.
