Put rite back in the water where it belongs. and i would never kill a bowfin or eat one they are also high in mercury, they just fight hard as hell!

Shes an old women lol, bowfin can live 30 years or more, years of eating good.

Nice i have caught some big bowfin but that is one chunky girl!

ive one that was bigger and two that were probably the same size i live in florida i catch alot ive caught a bunch in the 30 inch range if wanna see pics let me know.

I always love to see pics Ill share too all of these are some from this year, the 2 together was really a double catch hit within seconds of each other - and same here all released right back into the water, I never kill em make sure they go back nice and healthy. Love the fight in em and the fact they will take your pole if you don't stay on your toes! LOL
