I recently got a 3" bowfin I have been growing out for a few weeks. Today I noticed some strands coming from his left pectoral fin. Can anyone ID what this might be? Thanks.

Seeing as how small he is the only way I can get a better photo would be to pull him out of the water and try to stop him from flopping which sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. Anyone else have any ideas? There defiantly not clear and pronged at the ends like photos I've see of Anchor worms.
Looks like your right. today I can see the barbed ends on them. Any advice? pull the worms or leave them and treat with medicine?
Pull them off of the fish if they are the only ones seen. Would treat the tank with Dimlin and repeat with another dose in 5 days.
