I had never caught one in my life til 2 summers ago I started catching them in a run off pond of Symmes Creek on Southern Ohio. Really don't know how they got there as they are native to northern Ohio.

Seppi and I have caught them anywhere between 12-24" they also come in many color morphs down here, mostly reds and blues with the occasional teal/green and the standard brown.
