sadly, no. I ended up putting them in my girl friends pond, and hopefully being able to stock that up, so that we can see the offspring later on in the years.

Not sure on how many he will bring me tomorow, depends on if he has a good day or not. Most likely if he has time, should be around 4 fish.

one will be going into my 360gallon after quarntine, than the others will be put in
quarintine till i can sex them ( if there is a male + female, I will keep them ) But if not they will go into the pond with the rest of them.

Awesome dude. I wish I could keep bowfin, illegal in my state though. Those things are gonna get beastly.

hah, we've cought them 2ft + down here. So it should be fun. Hoping I get a very docile one and it dosnt eat any of my fish or turts.

My girlfriend owns a good 30+ acres on her farm, they have a man made pond thats a good 15' deep, by idk like 100'+ feet long. lets just say it takes about 5 mins to walk around. Its not connected to any lake or body of water, but they do pump fresh lake water into it once a month, Lots lof live plants and fish, some turts, and a **** load of channel cats.

so in other words, If I cant find someone to purchase a fish i either give it to her or she puts it in her pond.

Thats awesome dude, I wish I lived in Florida, I'd keep aro's and huge cats in outdoor pond. Tropical Temps = awesome.

milkman407 ... I hope you got a pre-nup with your girlfriend about this pond :D.

Nice fish by the way. You should see them in the Rainbow River!

I'm jealous, I've wanted one for the longest time. Never see them for sale, tho. Is there a sticky on bowfin legality out there somewhere? They're native to WI as far as I know, although I've never seen one.
