I have a 4" BP in a 40g breeder tank with some gold barbs. I just want to vent because she used to be a great pet but for the last two weeks she's been unbelieveably shy. If I watch her from another room, she swims happily around the tank, but the second I come in she hides either behind the filter or under driftwood in the tank. Whenever I reach to put pellets into the tank, she goes berzerk and crashes into the walls.
She used to be pretty cool around me, and I guess she's going through a shy phase. I've already added dithers and hiding spots. She only hides when I enter the room. Fantastic.
