Bracers or no bracer?

I'm building an unusual custom designed tank to fit in a piece a customer has.

The dimensions will be 62" long, 10.5" deep, 20" high.

I'm mainly concerned about the front/back 62x20 pieces.

I'd like to go for overkill (in safety) and using 1/2" thick. Should it be thicker?
Should I use bracers for the length or will the thickness of the glass be enough?

I would put a center brace in there with 1/2" glass.

For what the cost would be i would fit one, although not much in the height and width as only 10".

Also more peace of mind if you have to ask
