I know it's not a Cichlid, but how rare are they? Has anyone kept them? I can't really explain why but I'm obsessed with them all of a sudden.
Nearly got some a few weeks ago, still an option I am considering, seriously fish has a good write up on them, https://www.seriouslyfish.com/species/brachychalcinus-orbicularis/I haven't had much luck finding info on them. They are also called "Discus Tetra" so I apologise for the confusion. Apparently they are not at all common, and even less so in the US. Most of the sites I've found that discuss them are from Europe. I think I will email Jeff Rapps to see what thinks.
I am in the uk, try pestering rapps or cota, I know one of them is importing in from the UK now.dan518 Are you in the US? If so, can you tell me where you saw them offered? I'd love to pick some up. Thanks!
