how long can i keep one in a 48 x 18 x 15 iches tank or 48 x 30 x 20 iches pond or 52 x 26 x 21 iches,which pond/tank would be better .

what are there grow rate like and are they esay to get in the uk and do anybody know any idea how munch a juruense catfish cost in the uk.

can you hand feed them.

Jurus arent easy to find over here, when they do come in they are usually 12".

depending on the size that you got the fish at - quite a considerable while in a 48x18 tank.

they are skitty and susceptible to suddenly dying when small and do not tolerate stress - make sure that you have plenty of plants and hidy holes if you get one. They can be a pain to feed too although most will take small live fish to start - or bloodworms.

They do become reasonably tame although I have not known of one personally that has hand fed.

As bruce says, they are not something that you see often aymore - price is normally between £45 and £75 for a fish thats 3" - 5"

growth rate is slow.
