Brachyplatystoma rousseauxii aka dorado catfish, 4"

I've lost my prior 7" rousseauxii to a stupid oversight - it's fore half spent a few minutes inside a gulper catfish tank mate's tummy / mouth (lost track when gulpers had outgrown the dorado). It was intact when gulper spit it out but dead.

So I've got two 1.5"ers from Raymond Chan several months ago, $75 each. Tiny guys. The only survivor is about 4" now. The reason for the passing of the other at 3" is unknown. It was bullied by the dominant one (the survivor) a bit, getting worse little by little, so I had to separate them.

So far the nose is ok. Will see how this holds up. Easy to feed. Pellets or cut fish.

Can see the whole rainbow on the skin. Very nice catfish.

Very interesting cat indeed. Mine is very slow growing but eats like a pig. He's about 8in right now

It's about 6" now. No other changes to report. Timid fish. Runs away often from food sinking down. Comes back and takes some. Never gorges itself though, feeds in moderation, with dignity.

Nose on this one looks good far as I can see. Looks very good overall and growing nice

Good looking fish, you're lucky the nose is intact!
These are easily in my top 5 catfish, they look spectacular when a little bigger.
