A 3 yr old peru Wild caught B. vaillanti,
Currently 60-65cm (24-26”) TL
Anyone have different colourations on their vaillanti? It seems that most pics online have darker upper body like a B. platynemum, while mine is iridiscent grey.
Regular diet is frozen market fish

Although ours is older, about 5-6 yo, it's probably about the same size, under 30" / 75 cm. It feeds a LOT but doesn't seem to grow.

Is it in a solo tank?

I used to have one for a very brief moment, maybe a week only and I had to send it back.

Very dark dark grey with an iridescent bluish tint... kind of like the side of the face of a prime condition Tigrinus. Really beautiful. I had hoped to keep it until it showed my piraibas who was boss. And it was 1/3 smaller than the piraibas too...

The one i had till i move it on was around 20" and same colour as yours
