Brachyrhamdia Meesi salt tolerance for ich treatment?

My quarantined B. Meesi has just broken out in classic ich. Can these catfish tolerate medicinal dosages of salt and temps of 86ºF? If not, is Formalin a good alternative?

Yes they can. But add like 2/3 dosage of salt.

I was about to administer the first bit of saline solution when I noticed the spots are all gone. Can this happen on the first generation? Do all of the critters mature at once and detach, leaving the fish temporarily restored? Should I still dose or should I just watch for round two to potentially start up?
