I have a 150 gallon tall, that the bottom frame was horribly cracked and the tank wouldn't sit evenly on it, so I removed it. But I need to figure out how to brace the bottom of the tank.

I can't find a replacement frame, so what ideas exist for bracing? glasscages doesnt do frames that large. Haven't found a manufacturer or tank builder who could get/build/sell me one.

I have seen some threads that used a cleat inside the tank? Is this just a glass piece siliconed to the bottom panel and the front? Does it go front to back like a top brace? Or side to side? If side to side, does it need to go the entire length?

Any suggestions on the thickness of such cleats?

Or have people had success with building their own external frames Nd bracing for the bottom? I was thinking 2x4s as a rectangle, then router a shelf in the wood, and set the tank inside that?

Any suggestions and clarifications would be great
