Hey all MFKers I just picked up a 220gal 72Lx24W30H no bracing on the top or bottom,the glass is 5/8" thick, I plan on bracing with 1/4"glass 72"x 2" along front and back And use 4" strips on sides and middle. Will this be strong enough or should I use 1/2" glass? I'm also recealing and I've finished cutting out all existing silicone and am in the process of preping tank for receal I've tried rubbing alcohol,acetone to clean silicone stains on the inside edges of the tank but it doesnt seem to be working no matter how hard I try is there aneything I can do? Will the silicone bond to the glass and make a proper ceal if I cant get rid of the stains? Any help is greatly appreciated...
