Ive got a 40 gallon brackish tank with a GSP and some guppies. In the last month long hair like algea has been growing on everything. It black and grows very long in areas of high flow. Any help woult be great!

Thanks in advance

Im not sure on the phosphate but my lights are on 12 hours of the day and the tank gets some natural light in the morning. I couldnt put it anywhere else

The river goby (Awaous banana) has been reported to eat that algae.

i had this stuff tank over my 10g BW a few years ago, just do a water change and turn off your lights for a week, then do another water change. if there is still algae alive then scrub it off and turn your lights off for another week. worked great for me after trying 2 types of algae removers, nerite snails(which i still have and love) and amano shrimp.
