I am downsizing my brackish tank and have an awesome 10-12" brackish Columbian shark. He eats anything- live, frozen or even pellets. I'm having a lot of problems finding someone that is willing to take him and keep him brackish, but I've had him for about 4 years now and really he can't go fresh. It's not good for him, but I'm sure I don't need to tell any of you that.
I'm willing to let him go for free to a good, brackish fish home. Can anyone help me? I'd like to move him by May 31st.

Thanks!

very true- I still need to find him a new home though. I want to downsize from the 150 gallon tank I currently have to something more along a 72 gallon. So far Big Al's Oakville and Scarborough won't take him, but perhaps if I switch him to salt they may. How slowly would I need to switch him to salt? Then maybe I can find someone to take him in full marine conditions. If anyone knows an aquarium place that may take him I'm all ears!

do you have any pics of him?

I knew someone before that had one in fresh with some marine salt mixed in but not brackish. he scooped the fish up and dumped it into a salt tank straight away and it was fine. Not that I suggest that but a drip method should work fine.

They are very sturdy fish....a quick acclimation from brackish to full SW will be no problem. More fish than people realize can handle full SW rather quickly.
You can actually keep adult Tropheus in full SW as well as many Paratilapia species.
Great looking fish you have there...G/L finding it a happy home.
