hello I have been feeding my eel shrimp this last couple of times, prior to this i was feeding him platies and mollies as feeders, Is it okay to maintain him on a shrimp diet and not feed any live food ? Will he get enough vitamins and nutrients.

Lots of frozen options out there if you dont want to feed live. we use to feed squid, shrimp, peices of fish, krill, silversides, scallops, ect.. which can be found in you lfs freezer or at your local grocery store. might try massivore pellets as well. imo a variety is always best.

Is was feeding my eel frozen shrimp for a little while and he seemed fine but he didn't move around much so I started feeding larger meatier stuff and giving him live feeders a couple times a week and now he seems happier and swims around more

Take feeders out of the diet completely, and feed a variety of frozen foods. That is the key to health and vitality. Use a good vitamin as well. But definitely remove feeders from menu, there is no positive to be gained. We feed frozen silversides, clams, prawn, smelt, and other stuff from the seafood aisle and bait shop
