just a question, is it possible to keep brackish fish in freshwater for life? such as archers and scats:confused:

Possible, But they won't do well in freshwater and quite often than not, they die prematurely.

Forcing a BW fish to live in FW for life will weaken it's immune system, causing disease & early death. I kept a dragon goby in FW (before I knew better) & it developed pink tumors all over it's body. Eventually one grew in it's mouth & it starved to death. Columnaris is another common disease caused by this.

Pufferpunk is correct, but in some cases it depends on the species, so do some research (for example, I believe there are species of archer that are ok for FW)

It is not good to do this to any living thing and you shoulnt not condem a creture to this fate for life, but some spices can be kept safely in fw as juveniles, or you could temporarely house bw fish in fw with minimal damage to the fish. Or many bw fish can go in very low salinity bw.
