San Francisco, Ca
Hello. New to the board.
I live in San Francisco, CA and recently decided to start up a tank. After buying a 40 gallon, setting up the tank and letting it run for 48 hours i went out to buy fish from a local family owned shop near China Town. There i found EELS with the price tag naming them FRESHWATER MORAYS. I immediately bought 2, asked what they eat and what they need, bought that and left. When i got home i researched and found that they are NOT freshwater and need Brackish water. 2 days later i have set up the Brackish tank with everything i need, but I'm not sure how to Introduce them to the brackish water. help would be GREAT!!! i don't want to partake in them suffering in anyway.
Thank You!

Sounds like you rushed things a bit. Doesn't sound like you cycled the tank either. You'll need to research that too if you want healthy fish. Good luck.

Right now the two eels are living in a freshwater tank with three Oscar fish. I have set up a new tank with the brackish water. I'm keeping the Oscars in the freshwater tank and want to take the eels out of that tank and put them into the new brackish one. What is the best way to do this with causing the least amount of stress onto the eels?

Cycle the new tank as FW & then slowly add marine salt to the tank (use a hydrometer to measure salinity) every week. Do not raise the specific gravity more than .002/week. I gave you a link to fishless cycling in your other thread. It is always a bad idea to double post for this reason--it gets too confusing for the other posters.
