What is a general all around good substrate for a brackish tank? the stuff i have now is smooth stones around cherry sized but i dislike it... also whats a good substrate for bumblebee gobys?

Bumblebee as with most gobies like either fine/small gravel or sand.

They like to dig and move substrate

Aragonite sand is probably best for BBGs. It will buffer the water & keep the pH steady, around 8.

sweet thanks, im thinkin about starting a 30 gal for those little guys. what about monos and archers? same? they are goin into a 125 gallon but right now are in a 55 with small cherry sized pebbles

For a larger tank, I find crushed coral to be easier to clean.

my tank with flat stones and in beteewn the stone(large gaps) fine live sand and crushed coral. sand is good for a bbg
