Has adding salt to the water disrupted the biological cycle in some way?

It can if you do it too quickly.

ah, if you started a re-cycle then yeah I guess
can't give you a full analysis w/o all the stats

tank
stock
perams
pre-gravity
post-gravity

you know the drill

Do you have driftwood in the tank? Driftwood in a brackish tank will turn the water yellow and the wood will stink and rot quickly.

Thats what I was thinking. Wood can and will turn you water yellow pretty quick unless you boil the crap out of it.

Ahhhhhhhh! I do have driftwood yes, just put it in, so it'll be that... So is there no way you can have it in a brackish tank and keep the water clean?

Driftwood can leach tannins for years. Expect that there will be a yellowish tint for a while. The only thing that can "fix it" is time. The tannins are harmless, so it's purely aesthetic.

Okay thanks Clay, I will try what you suggested though SemperFish.. Thanks guys, good advice.
