Are there such things ?
I know from reading the sticky on salt, that freshwater parasites are not unable to live in a salted environment and vise verse for marine parasites.
If freshwater are exposed to a high enough concentration of salt or for a long period of time, they'll burst and die. The same can be said of marine parasites exposed to freshwater.

However, what about brackish water parasites ? will exposing them to pure freshwater or pure sea water kill them ? or would they be able to continue surviving ?

Also is it possible that a parasite can adapt to both freshwater and salt water (above 7ppt) ?

What is the parasite in question? If it's in brackish water then it might be a good idea to use something other than salt...

my question is :
salt kills freshwater parasites
freshwater kills salt water parasites
1. what about parasites that thrive with a bit of salt ?
2. Is it possible for a freshwater parasite to slowly become adapted to saltwater ? (or vise versa)
