Brain Coral legal??

A buddy of a buddy has a piece of live rock with what appears to be brain coral growing. I heard it is not legal to keep any brain coral at all. What is one to do?? Throw the rock out?

This is from FL. I thought it was only illegal to dstrip from reefs, but another buddy of mine said the brains in FL are illegal to posses. I guess if it grew out from a live rock what can "they" do about it.

its illegal to harvest brain coral from FL waters.
