I came across a box in my garage recently containing shells that I found while diving when I lived in Puerto Rico.
I found a small piece of brain coral that is really cool looking.
I wanted to add it to my tank but thought that it might change the PH of the water.
Would this be safe to add to my tank?
I plan to run boiling water over everything before adding it to the tank to sterilize it.
edit: tank is a 75g with a astronotus ocellatus just over 10" and a saum that's a little smaller than 4".
