Lol no damn clue. I had this question and "using a 3 & 5 gallon jug obtain 4 gallons of water" (thank god I watched Die Hard with a Vengence and figured this one out). Then I had which state would you eliminate from the U.S.? I also took a personality test and some basic math tests. but this puzzle is killlin me!!!
Think of the figure as having 9 parts (boxes) and one blank. Half of 9 if 4 1/2. So you must divide the figure into two so each part has 4 1/2 parts (boxes). Start your line at the bottom at 2 3/4 parts and go up. You will have 3 full parts plus 2 parts that are 3/4's which will equal 4 1/2. The other side will have 2 parts that are 1/4 and 4 full parts which will equal 4 1/2.
