What causes barbels to regrow into multi-branched barbels. I have a cat right now and one of his whiskers was torn off in a fight about 3 years ago and regrew normal for about 2cm and then branched to resemble a yogi antenna. What causes this sort of thing. I've noticed it before in other cats too.
