I am looking for driftwood that has many branches that would stimulate the roots of something like a mangrove tree. I looked at malaysian and mopani but they are not what I am looking for. Does anyone know what kind of driftwood would be best and where I can find it?

The type of wood looks great but 90$ shipping is a bit much. I will search the type though. thank you.

I use bird perches for a mangrovy root look, remove the bolts and give them 1-2 months and they sink and get darker.

Thanks, cutteri are some of my favorite fish, they way they change color is incredible. I got the perches from That Pet Place in Lancaster, PA but I'm sure you can get them at any pet store that sells birds. I think they were around $30-40ea, there are two of them in the video. I also use oak branches that fall in my yard, I just soak them for a few days and scrub them real good.

Here's the pieces I got from AD, they are just floating in this tank until they water logged.

That is exactly what I am looking for thanks! Yeah the archeocentrus and cryptopheros genus is filled with all sort of color changing cichlids. I love cutteri too but I got sajica instead. Cutteri a bit too aggressive for what I am looking for.
