I recently bought a 1500 GPH CPR overflow box from MarineDepot but realized that it it required about 5" of space in the back, which I do not have. It has dual one inch bulkheads. Because I opened the box and packaging, they will not take it back. I bought it for $140+ tax and shipping.

im going to pick this same one up but i found it for the same price less shipping online .. have you used anything like this before?

Yeah, I had an overflow on my 100G. Its easy to use, but like I said it requires 5" of clearance on the back. I have a 32" wide and that is just TOO much for my living room.

im going to put mine on the end of the tank .. the tank makes a L with my desk so i can just as easy hang it on the end that is close to my desk rather then on the back .. so its still up against the wall ... if that makes any since at all ..

was the over flow like this one .. how much noise did it make?

i hear REALLY good things about these overflows
