Hi Everyone I would really like to pool some resouces and see what my options are here.

I bought a new 80 gallon half circle tank and while transporting it slid in the truck and crushed a little spot on the side where the flat piece of glass meets the half circle piece. it doesnt go all the way though but it is right behind the seal.

It is only in the back (flat) glass not the curved.

Its not cracked just crushed with a little air pocket in it.

the damage is done over half way up from the bottom so its not going to have huge huge pressure on it.

I was wondering if anyone here knows anything about this and what I can do?

is it as easy as just resealing it? just to make sure? or is this tank garbage now?

I will be able to in the next couple of days. I am in the process of moving so its at the other house.

Sounds like it should be fine. I have had tanks with chips about 4" long before and they were ok.

If the chip is in the corner, where the two pieces of glass meet, and the silicone isn't affected, then you are OK.
