Hey, I bought a "Black Piranha" from AquaScape, and my piranha looks identical to the one you have pictured. Am I crazy, or do the two get mixed up sometimes?

Some time they do, the blacks dont get yellow fine or a yellow belly. These have been ID'ed as Brandii. They stay on the smaller side, 10" max, not as common as the rhom's

Can they be kept with other piranhas and other brandii? or are they like rhoms...solo fish?

problably a old as thread... but rhoms can get yellow bellys and cheaks and brandi dont get to 10 inches and yea they are solitary fish
