The head is why I say jur, and the colors mean either jur or tig.

Chicxulub Chicxulub might be able to confirm off of the pattern

My first thought is juruense as well. They have an insanely variable color pattern in the wild, but this is still the most unusual one I've seen on an adult. On fb, someone suggested this could be a tiger shovelnose/juruense hybrid, which I have to imagine is possible.

I don’t see anything indicating of possible hybrid with tsn. Find, eyes, mouth shape, adipose, all indicative of a jur to my eye.
I was only thinking of the striping pattern, but indeed, the head is pretty much spot on for a jur. The owner also claims that it's pure jur.

The real question is why do I not follow them already?! Lol They've got a vid up too of that fish and lots of other quality monsterfish related content

Nice looking cat for sure and one of the most unique variants I've seen, I concur with the Juruense ID though and not a hybrid
