So I bought some Africans from another MFK'er. About 3 Peacocks... 2 "mystery" Mbuna and 6 Red Jewels, fun! All of these were less than 2in. I decided to separete the Jewels into there own 75g tank, scaped it and added 5 Lion Heads (Thanks Jeff) and 4 upside down cats. I tried to add 10 Congo tetras but when I put the bag in to acclimate the fish the Reds tried to rape the bag so that was a non-starter. The Lions and jewels seem to be fine but is there anything I can add as a dither for the tank. Also how long does it take for them to color up... I have what I think is an male who in about a week has gone from bland to stunning shade of red. Why does that make me nervous.
