Wow!! I'm so sorry for your loss I just bought a pair of trimacs last week cause of how much I loved yours. I too just had a huge loss... My large wild umbee pair, the General- may he rest in peace also
Thanks for all the comments guys. My female jag layed eggs in the tank and he ate the entire batch, I did a 20% water change and came back an hour or so later and he was belly up with the eggs all over the tank he had thrown them up. No agression fom the jag just died Im not sure why entirely But in any case Rest in peace buddy

Oh my Im so sorry for your loss I was inspired by your fish too, the general was my favorite Umbee and I was looking to buy one just because of him. He will be missed and he was and continues to be a legend.
Thank you. I am still having a rough time with the loss I do have a few hundred fry growing out in my pond plus a 4.5" male and about 6 others at 2-3" Long Live the General!
But back to your thread, Your male Tri definitely got me to buy a pair and Ill have my two lil ones paired out here really soon and they are already eating like pigs and growing fast!! Tha is really wierd that your male passed that way.... ive never heard of adult fish eating till they choke, just some juviniles.
