Does anybody know what happened to those Brachyplatystoma sp. Flash Zebras from Brazil? They are no longer available in the market. The ones on offer in the market nowadays are mainly from Peru. Any one knows where to get the Brazilian ones?

They are probably banned from export like the rest of the fish in Brazil. The government there seems to be concerned about native fish being shipped out while the jungles are being cleared for farming and the erosion from the lack of trees and runoff is polluting the waters that these fish live in.

flash zebras get gold colouring when older

just looking at the creepy old man style teeth i am going to say it is a pacu...

Those don't look like the kinds of teeth that crack nut shells and hard friuts.

Not 100% sure but from my research, the "Flash Zebra" variety of juruense never came from Brasil, only from the Nanay River in Peru...
