I'm planning on adding a bunch of pennywort as a floating canopy on my 125 which has standard lighting ....will this work ? (do they need extra light, plant food, etc... I'm a newbie when it comes to plants)
thanks

Try not to have alot of movement on the surface it will irritate the plant and not grow well. And if you didn't know already this plant can be grown rooted and floating.

I'm planning on have it as a floating plant. But there is a bit of movement at top of the water since I prefer using koralia pumps instead of airstones....

I have this plant ... I got one small plant (for free) from my LFS, and since then I now have it growing in five different planted tanks ... in other words, it is really easy to grow, and it grows fast

in big tanks I let it float on the surface, weeding out a portion of it every few weeks ... in smaller tanks, it can be planted in the substrate and it will grow upwards ... nice plant, fairly versatile ...

Yeah its neat plant funny thing in one tank i got it growing floating and the leaves are smal (1 cent size ) in the other its weighted and leaves are 5 thimes bigger ( not 5 cents lol)
