So i have been wanting to get back into reptiles for a long time now but things just never worked out, i was really wanting a tegu but right now i just cant provide the space or afford the upkeep on one yet. I am taking down my big fish tank so my 5ft 120g tank is going to be empty and i thought this would give me a great opportunity to get one of my top 5 favorite snakes, the BRB! i was searching on here and it seems like not that many of you have these guys, there aren't many posts on them. So i guess i just wanted to make this thread to see who all out there have had these gorgeous guys and post some pics if you have them :) also any tips would be greatly appreciated (anyone know of a good breeder for these guys that produces nice red coloring, or a rescue/person in NC that has a relatively mellow one for adoption?)

This snake belongs to a good friend of mine but she bought it from me at the shop and I built her the enclosure and all that. Rainbow boas are not difficult to find- even tame ones are becoming more common.

very pretty snake, love her/his markings, and that enclosure is pretty awesome. i figured with my tank i could still use the glass lid on one side to retain humidity and just put weights on it, but still figuring out what to do with the other side since petco doesnt exactly carry screen lids that would fit my tank haha. and yeah ive seen them listed a lot online, its just in my area there is pretty much just the big chain stores so i have to either get lucky and somebody brings one into my local repti rescue or somehow find a breeder near me. otherwise ill probably have to wait till the big reptile expo but even then its a couple hours away and isnt until may :( this area pretty much sucks for fish lovers and herpers if you want anything other than the basic colubrids, balls or red tails

oh and i see she has some climbing branches in there, i keep reading differing accounts on how much these guys will actually climb, i mean either way i know im going to have branches in there even if its just for decor but for those of you that have one of these beauties, how much did yours actually climb (or not climb)

she is a very apt climber but usually hangs out in the substrate.
