So my plan is to build myself a glass tank. I am ordering the glass from a local business. The tank dimensions will be 48 " long 24 " wide and 22 " high. This will be my first tank build so of course I have a few questions and could use all the tips I can get . 
I used the glass thickness calculations and it advised me to go between 12 mm and 15 mm thickness is this correct ? do any of you have a silicone brand that you recommend ? And what type of clamps should I be using to do the job correctly ? I will be bracing the top just to be on the safe side and for the practice of course . I have bigger plans in the future but for now I need to make a new home for my paratilapia . and I have a fx5 just sitting around and collecting dust.
