I THINK MY JAGUAR AND MY TEXAS CICHLID BRED AGAIN...Funny thing is they have there days as every other cichlid....they go at it and then there loving on eachother again...Shes a sweetie and so is he, but like i said they have there days. Anyone ever known of Jag and Tex breeding? And NO it was not expected ha if you look close you can see her back end start to turn a day or 2 and her full end will be black and honestly i love how it look. Sorry pics arent the best.

That is not a jaguar, that is a nandopsis tetracanthus "cuban" cichlid.
Most CA cichlids can hybridize, I have seen jaguars, texas, cubans, and many others make hybrid spawns. It may be interesting but IMO the fry should not be distributed to anyone, more hybrids only muddy the strains we have in the hobby. Just my .02

Agree with Gourami Swami, that is not a true managuense (Jaguar cichlid), could be part managuense, but it is at least partially a tetracanthus (so already a hybrid) what you gonna call the fry Texaguensacanthus?. And that would only be a wild guess.
And agree the fry should not be distributed.

wow thanks for that im so tired of these fish stores who never seem to give an appropriate name just go with whatever it may look like or resemble well thanks alot im definitely gonna have a talk at fish friend and see why they dont just take the time to figure out the correct name. And distributed? like i said this was not expected and cant do much til she lays but thanks for all info
