Yes it is possable, however it will take a lot of time and a lot of money , grow the micro out together if you wish , this part does not seam to make a diferance . however breeding behaviour is shown much more in groups that are made up of non siblings ,so sorce your fish from diferant places . after two foot you can see slight / very slight diferance in head structure and body shape of female and male. or you may vent to know you have both sexes , however letting them find own pair is still order of the day . they breed in still pools that are offshoots of the main river , so no flow at surface ,surface cover , steadly increasing temps and lowering ph is what is needed , you will need a minimum of 4 foot wide by 4 foot high tank by as long as you can afford but no smaller than 10ft indoor pond is the way forward. while not breeding a cooler temp with faster flow and higher ph level. being in brazil you may find your outdoor temps allow for you to recreate the settings in an outdoor pond.

good luck on your venture.

Soo, I do need an outside pond. They can support unstable temps ? Cause in São Paulo - Brazil we have a hot summer and cold winter (Summer - 28 to 34ºC / Winter - 10 to 22ºC).
In a winter week, we can reach 28ºC and the other day the temp goes down to 11ºC...

your high temps are fine , your low temps are not however . but you could house them separate in separate tanks heated inside during the cold part of the year and then move them to outside pond as soon as temps reach over 21deg , micro are very poor at tolerating temps below 20deg for any period of time

I herd of one person breeding these and he used a 12x12x 4 pond that was heavily planted as to they are nest breeders. U have a long way to go before u breed them as to they are way too small it will take a few years to grow them big enuff in order to breed but best of luck to u and hope u are successfull in doing so . I myself have three that are 26 inches long and growing lol.
